the food of China 01, on the safe side.

General Tsao's chicken

This is fish in chili oil with bean sprouts and dried chilies

A sweet dish, made from the heart of a lilly, drenched in honey and stuffed with sticky rice.

Pork cooked twice with leek and chili bean paste. We were blown away

yum, can't remember what this was but like a cross between cucumber and melon..

heaven, breakfast dumpling buns

asian family reunions means alot of banquets. and my family absolutely spoilt us rotten with such amazing food. It'll take me a good while to repay the 'flavour'.

The old China

We visited a village called “Zhu Ge Ba Gua village“(a bit of a mouthful) and a house that’s built by a wealthy merchant’s ancestors in the country side of Zhe Jiang. The Zhuge village follows the design of the Eight Diagrams,  from the book of I Ching or the Book of Changes.Zhuge is also the surname of most of the villagers living there. A very very charming place indeed.

Some of the houses there also had the most amazing relief stone and wooden carvings capturing the most intense details in the character’s facial expression… I’m rambling on now but you can tell that people from back in the days really had tranquility as the driving force behind their daily life.
