I heart Machinarium

Brains I tell you!

The guys that created the game Samorost from a few years ago have created the most most most amazing flash game in the ENTIRE WORLD and I mean it! It’s called Machinarium, I played it for a few minutes and fell in love instantly with its detailed illustrations, and wacky ugly hilariously evil cute characters and amazing sound design! and and…I can really go on about how mindblowing it is but it’ll just bore you so go check it for yaself!

I wish they would make a book out of it one day and I also wish to live inside the head of the creators for a wee while.

Tokio Hotel MV

We have just completed the music video for Tokio Hotel. I created the heads-up display for the robot’s vision in this video. It was shot near Richtersveld in South Africa– a place of orange rocks and desert plateaus. The shoot and 3D animation was done by the team at Wicked Pixels.

Working on the Loeries Award

Lately things have been a little manic.

I’m busy working on the Heads-up displays for this year’s Loeries Award. To be honest I don’t think I’ve worked on anything this different before, and especially clueless when it comes to designing sci-fi space craft computer interface!

For this year’s award especially, there have been more categories involved, which means a lot more work for us. However because there was such a huge amount of work to do that it provided a great opportunity to better and mature my designs, in which I was pretty much pulling my hair out in the first few weeks, and by the end of it I really had it all waxed!
