We visited a village called “Zhu Ge Ba Gua village“(a bit of a mouthful) and a house that’s built by a wealthy merchant’s ancestors in the country side of Zhe Jiang. The Zhuge village follows the design of the Eight Diagrams, from the book of I Ching or the Book of Changes.Zhuge is also the surname of most of the villagers living there. A very very charming place indeed

Some of the houses there also had the most amazing relief stone and wooden carvings capturing the most intense details in the character’s facial expression… I’m rambling on now but you can tell that people from back in the days really had tranquility as the driving force behind their daily life.
